Hi there! I am a biologist, entomologist, and professional crop consultant. I have a Bachelor of Science in Biology (chemistry minor) from Western Michigan University where I focused on plant and insect biology, ecology, and physiology. I earned my Master of Science in Entomology from Michigan State University where I focused on spatial ecology, molecular biology, and data analysis. As an undergraduate, I earned nothing less than a 4.0 in every biology and chemistry course while winning several competitive scholarships and internships along the way. I understand what it takes to succeed in a competitive academic environment and truly enjoy helping others find their own way to success. I have experience teaching and tutoring at the collegiate level and can help students of all ages with a number of subjects related to biology, chemistry, and math. Many of the concepts in science and math are highly abstract and can be difficult to understand. As such, my general approach to tutoring consists of structured learning sessions, clear communication, achievable goals, and a healthy amount of empathy and compassion.
