Experience

-I have had 4 months of experience tutoring children at the Herbert Hoover Boys and Girls Club in Springfield, MO from September 2011 to December 2011. This was where I found what I truly wanted to do in life: teaching and mentoring. -Have taught as an after school instructor with Bricks4Kidz for 3 years. Taught educational concepts in a unique and creative way with Legos. I have also taught older children ages 9-12 how to build and program robots with the Lego Mindstorms Kit for a week-long summer camp course. -Currently in my 3rd year teaching Special Education in all grades, primarily in Elementary and Secondary.

Hobbies

-I am highly interested in creative pursuits such as design, graphic design, drawing, painting,, and drafting. I have taught myself how to use certain graphic design programs such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Jasc Paint Shop Pro. Additionally I have 3 years of experience in architectural drafting and rendering software such as Autodesk AutoCAD, Revit, and Google SketchUP 8. -I love to inform anyone of current and world events as to keep connected in today's interconnected world. -While not a hobby or interest, I work especially well on a personal level with any child who has been diagnosed with Autism or any similar disorder on the autism spectrum, as I myself have mild autism. Similarly, and child who has anxiety I would also understand their behavior and be able to work with them on a one-on-one basis if need be. I love to help out in any way I can. -I like to volunteer from time to time at the Missouri Humane Society by walking dogs. I love animals of all kinds and I do my best to make a difference in the world of pets and animal shelters.
