My professional experience is varied. I have moved from a corporate culture to nonprofit agencies. My professional writing experience was primarily in fundraising, though I have promoted the use of writing as a mental health recovery tool in a group setting. Outside of school, I regularly attend trainings on mental health topics, such as training in Cognitive-Behavior Therapy. Professionally, I enjoy working with people from a variety of backgrounds. I have taken courses in substance use disorders, abnormal psychology, counseling techniques, child and human development, creative writing, and existential philosophy. My strongest points are grammar, abnormal psychology, and counseling theory. I think tutoring is beneficial for many students, and I look forward to helping those new to the field with their education.
